Meet Our CEO Get to know our CEO. Karen Barker-Gentile CEO, President and Co-Founder Karen Barker-Gentile started her career as a network engineer in Yonkers, New York. But with an interest in online banking and stock trading, the capital markets were never far from her mind. That passion eventually became her career, as she co-founded online broker-dealer SpeedTrader in 1999. Seven years later, the entrepreneurship bug struck again, this time as co-founder of DAS Trader. With more than 20 years of financial accounting, back-office management, broker dealer relations and information technology experience, Karen Barker-Gentile brings to DAS, Inc. a wealth of business and management experience. Further adding to her professional credibility, Karen is one of the few female CEO’s in this male-dominated financial industry. In 2013, Gentile rang both closing bells of the two largest Stock Exchanges in the World, NYSE and Nasdaq exchanges.
